Submitting your website to top directory’s on the web is one way to gain trust and status for your website. I have constructed a list of some of the top directories taking into consideration factors such as; page rank, price, age and trust. Truth be told if your submitting your site by hand to these it can get quite boring to do more than 10 or so in a day. The trick is to just keep plugging away at it day after day. Its the people who keep working that get the rankings in the long run.
- The BOTW Blog Directory – The cost is $49, but unlike the general BOTW directory this is for a lifetime listing. The BOTW also has an affiliate program that if you sign up for you can save 25% on all purchases. Authors Experience: Submitted the Fraud and Scam News blog and was accepted the same day.
- The Eaton Web Portal - Guarantees a review of your blog in 7 days for $34.99 Authors Experience: Submitted my favorite blog, but then realized that the payment is only for 1 year. Still waiting to see if site is listed.
- The Bloghub offers a free listing. Authors Experience: Still waiting to see if site is listed. I admit that I got bored and didn’t fill out my personal details - such as my favorite movies.
- Technorati - I should have put this one first as its an authority site and is free. Authors Experience: Free and Easy. Also your blog gains authority through time.
- BlogCatalog - I included this site since it has a PR 7 and offers a free listing. Authors Experience: Easy to submit to, but requires a link back and I didn’t feel like doing this. They should have a paid option.
- Bloggeries is easy to submit to and does not require a reciporcal, but it is 27.99. Authors Experience: Still waiting to see if site is listed.
- Bloghop is free and easy I recommend this one if your just trying a few. Authors Experience: Still waiting to see if site is listed.
- Blogtoplist - has a relatively painless form to fill out, but they require not 1 but 2 reciprocal links. If you dont mind handing these out go for it. Authors Experience: Didnt add links- not worth bothering.
- Lsblogs - Simply find the category and submit. One of the easier sites. Authors Experience: Still waiting to see if site is listed.
- wilsdomain.com - Easy to add. Authors Experience: Our site was added within a week.
- List of Blogs - Here is a great list of 250 Blogs. Just seeing if your still on track. The same site has great lists of all sorts of directories.
- Pingomatic - This is an easy to use pinging services. Just plug in your url and click.
- A list of top blogs- another easy to use list.
- An easy to read summary of top blogs - a top blog list of 20.
